Epic trips are wonderful but not always feasible. That’s when a puddle jump, a bite sized excursion to inject some more outdoor fun into life is in order. All that’s needed is a pair of jeans, a bold sweater, a cute pair of kicks (for loaf-ing around) and a cute crossbody. So much time is spent organizing the perfect outfits during a work week, its nice to just grab and go – away, even for a day. This Fall has been so warm, one of the most pleasant of all the seasons of 2015.
Finally a chance to show off a seamans sweater without having it understudy a big puffer. Those winter coats are hot on the trail, but for now its nice to be able to enjoy an autumnal day trip, wearing what was always considered seasonal appropriate Fall fashion.
October/November around these parts has become, for the most part, winterish. The summer was even tempered friendly, not terribly hot or humid, so what came next was anyone’s guess (who are the farmers that contribute to that Almanac anyway? And why do these folk rule the roost?) There was a time when the Four Seasons represented four very different times of the year, not just a mammoth hotel group or a wonderful, iconic NYC restaurant. These four reasons behind the runway rentals have fashion houses all over the world working laboriously to keep up with the trends, and, at the very least, six months before the last trend comes to an end.
Mother Nature has had her way before (way before Sandy was appointed the super seasonal ‘Queen of Mean.’) It’s anyone’s guess what we will all be wearing in the coming months, (the closet swap, too, is not in the forecast just yet.) Last winter really worked wardrobes weary – retirement was the only option in the coat department for this forever freezing east coaster. So a chance to revel in some nice, however, abnormal temperatures was certainly a treat, but probably a trick.
Nevertheless the outcome of Fall tripping was sweeter than expected. A tour out of town, on a really lovely, brisk, sunny day was just not what Old McDonald had been predicting (on repeat) at this juncture of the calendar year. The results of this unpredictably nice weather pattern, at the very least, produced a very picturesque Fall photoscape. Which is great, as those photos will probably be viewed, away from the cold, preferably in front of a crackling fireplace, and on repeat, for old times sake, and all winter loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggg!
