Cameo’s silhouette party dresses are the perfect mix of serious structure, unique, yet classic designs and sweet Southern-like sass. Since arriving on the scene in stores like Saks, Neiman Marcus and Nordstroms, C/MEO has quickly blossomed into one of the newest and boldest labels made down under. The Australian ‘street line’ is part earthy contemporary, meets A-list luxury (poking fun with sophisticated cheekiness) and in only 5 years took off and ran all the way to Hollywood and into the closets of hoards of fashionistas and personalities. All sisters K & H answered the door bell for that delivery in a jiff.
This particular dress, “Alone Tonight” (which you probably wouldn’t be, for long, wearing this cutie) was indeed designed for a much younger, more flirtatious audience. Disregarding the aforementioned demographic that this dress was designed to fit, I wiggled into one, and then unceremoniously pretended I was buying it as a gift at checkout. On occasion this mature petite will take a chance and dabble in the daring – purchase a thing or two that may be construed as a bit flippant, a tad astray from public opinion on what is age appropriate. This time, however, in this dress, the public was much more forgiving than I expected.
This little blue number was created with a much smaller silhouette, a shorter fit model and available in subtle navy which always enhances any sophisticated yacht club affair. The fun cut of this little blue dress flatters and cinches the smallest part of the waist and is adorned with a really fun ruffled fabric tu-tu overlay and an exposed back, elegant neckline cutaway and tough, slim straps to hold this LBD in place. Flirty and fun is not only for the young.
