RED & GREENE “leaping leopards!”

One of the cutest tricks to add a pop of personality to any old outfit and to dazzle your daytime silhouette is to add a little leopard to your holiday red. The combination is a really bold and fun expression, particularly on those uninspired closet days. And with Christmas in full gear, it’s handy to have a topcoat that’s festive without being too over the top. Diane von Furstenberg, known around the world (and on The Greene Door) for her wrap dresses, wrapped up this pretty old outfit (hoarder?, yup!) in a hot red fitted midwinter topcoat, a red/leopard leather cross body bag, and an incredible pair of animal print stiletto booties (that is just not a good name for short boots, but I follow the trends and try to speak the fashion forward language of the day every once in a while, OY! – I’d simply refer to them as tasteful leopard print heels.) This pretty casual, yet chic, ensemble pairs well with a white pair of jeans, and lends itself to the seasonal hue, as if on cue (animal prints don’t really work with everything, of course.) The red/leopard DVF accentuated appearance is eye catching and, naturally when it is a DVF, it is “Definitely Very Fun.”
